About the Artist

Leana Pande is a self-taught artist in watercolor, acrylic paint, gouache, pen, and other media. She is a PGY1 neurology resident in the Hudson Valley, NY. She graduated from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. She graduated from Wilkes University in three years with a double major in Neuroscience and Psychology. She received the 2022-2023 Artist in Residence Award from the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA). She is the resident co-chair of the AMWA Studio Art Committe and helps coordinate the visual arts at their national conference annual. Her work has previously been published by World Neurosurgery and Geisinger Commonwealth SOM. She had a solo exhibition in Northeastern Pennsylvania in 2021 in the Wyoming Valley Art League Circle Centre for the Arts. She has  previously taught watercolor in the Everhart Museum in Scranton, PA. Her work has been archived by the Drexel University Legacy Center Archives and Special Collections and she has been regularly interviewed by WVIA NPR.
